Getting to Les 2 Alpes, France
Fly:
Both Grenoble (GNB) and Lyon (LYS) airports have excellent connections to the resort and are served by Air France, BA, BMI, Easyjet and Ryanair from UK and Aer Lingus from Ireland.
Eurostar:
Grenoble is also served by Eurostar from London Waterloo www.eurostar.com. Services terminate within easy walking distance of Grenoble central coach station, where you can catch a connecting coach to the resort.
Coach transfer to resort:
Transisère www.transisere.fr run coaches between Grenoble Airport and Grenoble central coach station., where you can catch a connecting coach to the resort. Lyon is also well-connected to the resort by Satobus Alpes www.satobus-alpes.com. It is a good idea to cross check flight and coach schedules as often the cheaper flights arrive too late for connections and vice versa for return journey. Please also remember to confirm your coach tickets 48 hours before you travel, details are on your tickets.
Taxi transfer to resort:
Both Alpha Taxis www.alphataxis.fr and ATS www.a-t-s.net offer private or shared door to door transfers via minibus.
Car Hire:
The drive from both Grenoble and Lyon airports is relatively easy and beautiful. Although not essential to have a car in the resort, it may be useful if your flight schedules do not suit coach schedules. The following agents represent major car hire companies www.holidayautos.co.uk or www.auto-europe.co.uk and are often cheaper than booking direct.
Directions from airports to the resort:
- From Lyon or Grenoble Airports take the A48 towards Grenoble.
- Turn off at Junction 8 towards Station Les Oisans.
- Stay on the N91 - Les 2 Alpes will be signposted from here.
- Follow the signs until you come to the D213 - turn right onto the mountain road.
- Just after you enter the resort you will see a large sign on your left 'Les Chalets d'Or' next to a small petrol station and opposite a hotel called 'Chalet Annapurna'.
If you get to Corrigans Irish Bar or a small supermarket just before the first roundabout you have gone too far!
